Chris Hutton
Originally from North Carolina, I grew up in the small town of Richlands, just outside of Camp Lejuene military base and Marine Corps Air Station: New River. Despite my father being a career military officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, I never had to move outside of my childhood hometown, unlike many of my military family peers. I remained in Richlands until just after my high school graduation, graduating first in my class.
After graduation, I left for Raleigh, NC, where I attended North Carolina State University. There I attained a Bachelor of Art and Design, focused on animation, and a Bachelor of the Arts in Mutlidisciplinary Studies: Writing for Film. I also attained minors in Architecture and in Italian. I graduated valedictorian of my class. More importantly, here I met my wife, Nicole Opyr.
After completing my degrees at NCSU, I enrolled at the University of Southern California where I earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Writing for Screen and Television.
Now I work as a freelance graphic designer - creating logos, character concepts, storyboards and websites - as an assistant editor, and as a writer, writing teleplays and features with a focus on dark, psychological horror, the supernatural and/or science fiction.
