Traffic Light Number 1




Begun February 17, 2009. Planned as the first of a series. I'm beginning using acrylic and a heavy use of palette knives. The plan is for this to be my first completed painting since the completion of Springtime Silence, finished in 2001.








February 17, 2009

Established the base coat for the background, along with some palette knife texturing.

February 18, 2009

Created the base coats for the traffic light body. Added the preliminary shading and highlighting.

February 19, 2009

Fine-tuned the shading and highlights for the traffic light body. Continued palette knife texturing.
